A coordinated effort to have all students at Lawton Jr. High show measurable growth in their literacy skills through the implementation of a school-wide focus on reading and writing strategies. Through the use of differentiated instruction techniques and community partnerships students will become connected, contributing and capable learners and citizens. Success will be measured by HLAT’s in reading and writing provincial achievement tests, school developed measures, and teacher professional judgement
